In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. The Ioniq 6 N has standard Blue Link, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to get turn-by-turn driving directions, remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Air doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Ioniq 6 N and the Air have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Ioniq 6 N comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Air’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

Hyundai’s powertrain warranty covers the Ioniq 6 N 2 years longer than Lucid Motors covers the Air. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles. Coverage on the Air ends after only 8 years or 100,000 miles.

There are over 19 times as many Hyundai dealers as there are Lucid Motors dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Ioniq 6 N’s warranty.

The Ioniq 6 N’s electric motors produces 211 more horsepower (641 vs. 430) and 162 lbs.-ft. more torque (568 vs. 406) than the Air Pure’s standard electric motor. The Ioniq 6 N’s electric motors produces 21 more horsepower (641 vs. 620) than the Air Touring’s standard electric motors.

For better stopping power the Ioniq 6 N’s standard front brake rotors are larger than those on the Air:

For better traction, the Ioniq 6 N has larger tires than the Air (275/35R20 vs. 245/45R19). The Ioniq 6 N’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Air (275/35R20 vs. 265/35R20).

The Ioniq 6 N’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Air’s standard 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Ioniq 6 N has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Air.

The front grille of the Ioniq 6 N uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Air doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Ioniq 6 N has .6 inches more front headroom, 3.9 inches more front legroom and 2.8 inches more rear shoulder room than the Air.

To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the Ioniq 6 N’s trunk can be opened just by waiting momentarily behind the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The Air doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its trunk, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.

On a hot day the Ioniq 6 N’s driver can lower all the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Air can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Ioniq 6 N’s power mirror controls are mounted on the dash for easy access. The Air’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.

The Ioniq 6 N has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the car heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Air.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N outsold the Lucid Motors Air by 16% during 2025.
